Sir Alexander Gordon of Abergeldie was the son of Alexander Gordon, 1st Earl of Huntly and Egida Hay. He married Beatrice Hay, daughter of William Hay, 1st Earl of Erroll. He died before January 1504.
On 12 February 1458 his father granted him all his lands which had been parcel of the Barony of Mygmar (Midmar) and Tulch. On 26 December 1482 he was granted the lands of Abergeldie by King James III. He was ancestor of Seton of Touch and Abercorn.
